Lay Bible Training — Pt. Elizabeth, South Africa

Last month I participated in the launch of a Bible training program for lay Anglicans in South Africa.  This is a project of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans and a handful of dedicated clergy who are trying to address the problem of Biblical illiteracy in the Anglican church which has left it vulnerable to theological and ethical drift. The idea is to build momentum for orthodoxy and Biblical renewal at the grassroots level.  Here are some photos of the first group and the lovely St. Saviour’s Church on a “cold” winter’s day on the Cape.
